Hello there!
My name is Danielle. I am a stay at home Mama of three kids (Jackson, Liam and Charleen) and married 9 years to my husband Joe. We live on 78 acres in the woods of Maine in a tiny rural town with my dog and chickens. I enjoy cooking, baking, crafts, natural home remedies, gardening, canning, reading, knitting, crocheting and quilting. We are a homeschooling family and are very big on the outdoors; I would rather be outside than anywhere else. We enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, ice fishing, snow sledding, hunting and more. This blog is where I will share our favorite recipes, DIY crafts, remedies, homeschool things, country homemaking and all things outdoors. I also post videos on my YouTube channel Maine Girl Outdoors

Other Things About Me
I used to raise Lamancha dairy goats. We used to raise beef cows and pigs. Due to our youngest son’s health challenges when he was born and the nature of my husband’s work it became too difficult to keep up with everything so we sold them.
When I was a kid I rode horses for 7 years and fell in love with barrel racing. My first love was a pony named Houdini, and saying goodbye to him (he had to be put down) when I was 11 was the first really hard thing I had to do.
I am the second oldest of 8 children, and the oldest girl.
I ran cross country in high school.
Squeaky screen doors and loons calling on a peaceful lake is like cool water to my soul.
I am so glad you are here!
